Lake Ceramics is my (Tania Kitchell) handmade pottery production. In 2020 I set up two small studios one in Toronto and one on Charleston Lake, Ontario.
All my items are made in small batches, each piece is individually hand-cast, finished, and glazed. I am constantly experimenting with my clays and glazes that are formulated from natural raw materials. Glaze colors are inspired by nature looking and observing the subtleties of my surroundings.
Each item is unique onto itself and made with care. Pottery for everyone for every day. Simple and easy.
Sustainability and Recycling
In my studio, I continue to get better at reusing and recycling materials, clay, and glazes. Always thinking of ways to be more sustainable in my studio practice. It's a journey!
